Position: Farm Worker

Schedule: M-F 8-5 -- possible flexibility

Now through Oct

Starting pay $20 - 23/hr based on experience

Monthly egg and meat allowance

$500 end of season bonus if you work through the season

This is a great opportunity for someone to learn how to grow and raise their own food. The work is not easy but it is very rewarding.

The work: 

Work will be in the veggie garden and with the animals.   

Veggie: the work is mostly seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting, washing and packaging

Animals: The work is mostly feeding, watering, moving chickens and pigs and collecting, washing and packaging eggs. We also have 5 chicken processing days this season.

There will be other activities but the above captures 95% of the activities

Requirements:

·       Have an interest in agriculture and the local food system

·       Be able to lift 50lbs

·       Be able to do physical work for 8 hrs a day outdoors

·       Come to work with a good attitude

·       We will train you to do the task but it’s required that you work quickly
