2026 Pastured Chicken Information
This year we’re raising five batches of 200 pastured meat chickens. Our birds are fed organic, non-GMO feed and spend their lives on pasture, moved daily to fresh grass in mobile coops. During their first few weeks, they are kept in a warm, protected environment until they are fully feathered and able to regulate their body temperature.
All chickens are processed humanely on the farm in our WSDA-certified poultry processing facility. We raise a large-breasted breed called the White Freedom Ranger (we didn’t name it, but we do love how it grows and tastes). Our goal is to offer whole birds in the 3.5–4.5 lb range, they will vary. It will be a whole bird with neck on and without organs. The hearts, liver and gizzards are sold separately. We also make and sell chicken stock. We will send updates via our newsletter when chicken stock is available again.
Your whole frozen chicken will be vacuum sealed and ready for pickup the week after the slaughter date. If you would like yours fresh please let us know (note section when ordering). Fresh whole chicken will be available 2 days after the slaughter date.
New This Year: Cut-Up Chicken
We’re excited to begin offering cut-up chicken parts this season. As we get this new process dialed in, these items will initially be available at the farmers market and directly from the farm after our first batch is processed. Pre-orders may be available later in the season.
